The Big Picture spans two full days of a therapeutic, creative
art programming for children diagnosed with cancer and for their
siblings. This art-therapy program is designed to promote creative
self-expression and to utilize art as a tool in the healing and
recovery process, while simultaneously spending time outside of
a clinical environment.
In the Big Picture's comfortable and informal atmosphere, children
are encouraged to create images that reflect their inner states,
feelings and thoughts, providing a constructive way to release stress
and tension, reduce the risk of psychological complications, develop
coping skills, and strengthen family bonds. All artwork will be
framed and put on display and auctioned at the Time For Life Gold
Ribbon Gala.
