The Time For Life Summer Program is open to all families of children
with cancer, between the ages of infancy to 18 years old. The goal
of the program is to increase the quality of life of the children
and of their families, improve coping skills, decrease stress and
anxiety, and provide a safe and relaxing environment in which to
positively strengthen family bonds. Sessions are structured to uniquely
address each family member's specific area of difficulty, as well
the complexity of issues encountered by the family unit. Interaction
with other families experiencing a cancer diagnosis in a child provides
a sense of comfort and belonging that help to ease the sense of
disconnectedness and social isolation that often accompanies living
with a child with cancer.
